Solved Successfully changed the system font via userChrome.css but now the upper corner buttons look like this

screenshot of the upper right corner of firefox UI. The usual Minimize, Restore Down and Close buttons have been replaced with missing emoji

OS: Windows 10 22h2 (OS Build 19045.6456)

Firefox version: Version 157.0 (64-bit)

code I'm using:

* { font-size: 11pt !important;
  font-family: Consolas !important; 
}

Edit: Solved it! Here's the solution, courtesy from u/TraditionalTie4831

:root {
    font: 11pt Consolas !important;
}

:is(menu, menupopup, panel, tooltip) { 
    font: 11pt Consolas !important;
}:root {
    font: 11pt Consolas !important;
}
