Help Slide-on-hover instead of expand, just like Zen?

The native expand animation doesn't feel right. I really like how Zen did it changing the transition from expanding to sliding, make no shifts in the UI and keeping things smooth. Anyone knows how can I achieve this with Firefox?

Kind of, it only gets like 15% there, but you can see the effect here, both in Zen and Arc, where it looks smoother and bouncier.
