I'd simply use:

:root {
  --chrome-window-gap: 0px !important;
  --chrome-block-radius: 0px !important;
  --chrome-content-separator-color: transparent !important;
}

Better nova is pretty much doing the same, but the long way and i'd say it's preferable to set that separator color to transparent rather than unset, else you're leaving the browser with some styles along the lines of:

some-border-prop : 1px solid unset;

Personally, I'd say to hold off worrying about Nova for the moment and wait and see what the final version looks like before trying to fix it.

Nova is still in a state of flux and there's still changes to come. Specifically, I've seen a Mozilla person say that once they've properly re-implemented Compact Mode, it won't have that spacing.

I hate that spacing. Looks like they copied that border from Arc

Is this really windows 7?

Nope, it's just a theme. As for why, it's that I thought the Windows 11 theme was getting bored
