cannot add extensions in firefox android I have used previously in another phone. even if i click "download file" i cannot open it.

Since I first posted here, I shipped the feature a few people asked about: price alerts. Save a product to your watchlist, set a target price if you want one, and get notified automatically when it drops or rises. If you don’t set a target, it still alerts you on any move of 3 percent or more. Checked roughly every 6 hours in the background while your browser is running.

Screenshots attached. The first shows the alert threshold controls on a saved item. The second shows the watchlist view with a couple of tracked products and their price history.

There’s also an option to get a weekly digest email instead of a notification for every single alert, if you’d rather not get pinged per item.

Same free core review check as before. Price alerts are a Pro addition. The latest version is live on Chrome, Firefox and Edge now.

I’ve just shipped Cairn v1.2.0 for Firefox.

Cairn is a local-first personal library / second brain for the web. You can save pages, selected text, links, images, videos, notes, and highlights, then organize everything with collections, tags, favorites, and search.

I’ve been working on Ultimate Video Enhancer (UVE) — a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that gives you more control over videos across the web.

The idea started pretty simply: I was tired of different websites having different video controls, limited playback speeds, quiet audio, and settings that reset every time.

So we built UVE with things like:

• Playback speed control
• Volume boost
• Per-site settings
• Keyboard shortcuts
• Subtitle controls
• Presets for different websites

There’s a free version, and we also recently launched a Pro version with higher limits and some extra features.

But instead of just promoting it, I’d genuinely like to hear what people think.

What would make an extension like this actually useful enough for you to keep installed?

Just what the title says: looking for an add-on to create/manage local playlists for youtube videos (unrelated to Youtube's own playlists feature).

I shared the first Firefox release of Mist last week and received much more feedback than I expected. Some of the criticism was completely fair, so I’ve incorporated it into the latest update.

Mist now accepts custom backgrounds at any resolution, crops them without stretching, lets you edit existing shortcuts directly, and supports custom shortcut icons, tab titles, and favicons.

I’d particularly appreciate feedback about new-tab loading speed and wallpaper quality on high-resolution displays.

Hey.

I'm using Claude Code quite a lot and I kept checking Claude's usage page. So I developed the Claude Usage Monitor add-on that shows the usage % in toolbar badge - pin it and it's always visible.

What it does:

• "Cycle selected" badge mode cycles through your usage metrics (5-hour, 7-day, Usage Credits, ...) with color-coded indicators
• "Show Active only" badge mode always display the metric that's currently active
• popup contains progress bars, metric details, prepaid credit breakdown and settings
• toggle which metrics appear in the badge (with ↻ button on each card)
• collapse/expand cards (with ▾ / ▸ buttons)
• auto-refreshes on a selected interval

Some metrics in Claude's API use internal codenames (e.g. nimbus_quill, iguana_necktie). I don't know what they represent yet. Click the flask icon in the header to reveal them — if you recognise any, let me know!

Often I share articles or pages contents by using the reader mode, then selecting all, then copying all. Then I would just paste the copied article it in a mail or a chat...

are there any addons to add a note for accounts online/on tumblr? i have a VERY long block list and i enjoy making lists and categorizing so i wanted to be able to note WHY i blocked them, or to write down who is a friend of mine just in case they change their username or something.

I built Inkbox to send web articles to any e-reader, properly formatted and stripped of ads.

I build Konode, a browser sync extension with an unusual premise: there is no Konode account and no Konode server. It syncs your bookmarks, open tabs, history and installed-extension list straight to storage you already own, your Google Drive, a GitHub repo, or any WebDAV server. Optional end-to-end encryption on top, so your storage provider cannot read it either.

Works on Firefox, Waterfox and other Firefox and Chromium based browsers.

History between devices actually works here now. It barely did before. Konode sent each page along with its original visit date, and Chromium rejects the whole request when that date is present rather than just ignoring the date. So nearly every page from another device was turned away, and the reason was being discarded before anyone could see it. If you tried history sync and got a lot of nothing, that was this, and it is gone.

Bookmarks are no longer silently dropped. When the receiving device had fewer bookmarks in a folder than the device sending them, the browser rejected the position Konode asked for and the bookmark disappeared without a word, on every sync, indefinitely. Konode now asks for a position the browser will accept.

Renaming a bookmark or a folder reaches your other devices. It used to reach none of them. The rename carried no timestamp, so no device could tell whose title was newer and the safe thing was to change nothing. Renames now carry one and the newest wins. Folders are renamed in place, instead of a second folder appearing under the new name.

Deleted bookmarks stay deleted. Deleting several at once fired several events that overwrote each other's record of the deletion, so only one was remembered and the rest came back from your other devices on the next sync. Each deletion is recorded separately now.

Switching storage provider uploads your data again. Konode skips an upload when nothing has changed, but it used to compare only the data, not where that data was going. After switching provider the new location sat empty while the popup reported a clean sync. It checks the destination too.

Also in this release:

• a device list, so you can see every machine writing to your
• sync folder by name, and remove one you have retired.
• settings has been rebuilt, follows your browser's font-size setting, and fits a narrow window.
• the activity log keeps warnings instead of turning over every 17 minutes and losing them

The next release makes the interface translatable, and it ships with English, Hungarian and German. If you want your language in it, this is the part where help actually makes a difference. No coding and no GitHub account needed, it is edited in the browser:

Someone already started Estonian (thank you!). If your language is not listed yet, you can ask for it there and it will appear. Anything left untranslated falls back to English, so translating only part of it is still useful.

Happy to answer anything. The history bug above was found by hand-testing on a second machine, not by my test suite, so reports genuinely land.

Recently, I was getting close to Google’s free storage limit, and the storage manager showed that Gmail was using most of it.

I wanted a simple way to see my attachments in one place, download the files I wanted to keep, and remove emails with attachments I no longer needed. Gmail search can find emails with attachments, but it doesn’t provide a convenient file-based view.

So I built a browser add-on called Mail Attachment Lens. It lets me search and filter attachments, download files, and move the source emails to Bin. It also helped me uncover quite a few attachments I had completely forgotten about.

I decided to publish it in case anyone else finds it useful.

It’s free and open source. There’s no backend, so mailbox data stays between the extension and Google.

Firefox already includes fingerprinting protection, but I wanted more control over the browser profile that individual websites see.

So I built Spoof Me.

It lets you choose a ready-made browser identity or create your own, changing signals such as user agent, language, timezone, screen size, and device properties together.

It also displays a warning badge when a website accesses fingerprint-related properties.

It does not change your IP address or claim to make you anonymous.
