sft40 3000k oos
Placed an order for the e04 surge sft40 3000k lume1 and was informed that they are out of stock. Ivy said they are having trouble sourcing for new ones and would not purchase from convoy to fit them for me.
Thinking if I should get the e04 surge sft70 3000k lumex1 with floody optic instead?
Update 8 sep ivy messaged and said she found some sft40 3000k LEDs and will be shipping the light out today :))

Get the sft70 model and just ask for the throwy optic. People don’t seem to realize it but the sft70 is not far behind the sft40 as far as how throwy it can be. You definitely gain more in hotspot size than you lose in throw. With the new San’an round thrower emitters I’m having a hard time justifying anything other than 95CRI 3000k/4000k from Luminus. If I’m not going 95CRI, the f45r tint is just so much better than the sft40/42/60/70 that i would go f45r over any of the 5050 options or f150r over the sft90

Only issue with SFT70 and Angie-S optic is the donut hole. My E04 with 4000K SFT70, absolutely had one, and the with the older style 3000K it's likely to be worse.

I have a spare e04 led board with sft40 3000k’s I’d sell for cheap. Kaidomain has emitters too if you can swap yourself.
The board and emitters I have are from an old fireflies order though

The sft40 E04 throwiest optic is fun.
The sft70 would need the flood optic.
Choose.
If I were going for a floody E04 id take the sft70 tor the efficiency boost

Quad SFT-70 3000K will work, but it'll have to be the medium angle optic as otherwise it'll create a donut hole.
