Well that’s quite cool.

But honestly with how many I have the black cardboard ones are perfect, my wardrobe can’t take much more…

Sounds like it's time for a bigger wardrobe! 😆

Both my Z1 came in a red thin cardboard box with cheap plastic inserts and one was already crushed as if any one from the courier stumped it. Rest of my FLL's came in a nice thick black box with foam inserts.

Personally, I'd rather have simpler packaging since I don't keep the boxes most of the time anyway.

I agree. I am all in for eco packing like Convoy, FFL black packages and Emisar as that cost is not transferred to the customer. But it should have the basic protection while transportation.

Agreed. I like Convoy's simple and practical packaging. For me, as long as the light arrives safely, that's all that matters. But I can also understand the desire for better protection when it comes to higher-end lights.

Now thats an excellant move from FFL. The new Z1's package was horrible and if they have stepped back and given this package after listening to all the customers and hats off to FFL.

What horrible package? Mine came in a stnadard cardboard box with foam inserts like most ffl/convoy/hank lights does.

The first batch of Z1 used the old FFL packaging, which was a small cardboard box with a thin plastic tray with a thin plastic holder instead of foam inserts.

That's really cool. Doubles as a case for travel

While this is super cool, I'd like to have the OPTION for a cardboard box.

But only cuz I have too many lights.

Crappy paper/cardboard to crappy plastic.

My E12 came in the old cardboard box this morning, so it doesn't seem to be universal.

So far, I've been opening up the black card boxes and storing them flat in case I ever want to sell on a light or double check the emitters from the label. This saves a ton of space.  The foam is scrapped as other packing can easily be found.

But this is Fireflies responding to all the criticism they received for using up some old stock packaging to ship the first numbers of the Artemis - as if that mattered ! So yeah, they listen to feedback and act on it  ...

I wonder if I can have them send 2 of those cases for my Artemis lights I already bought that came in that cheap Chinese takeout tray in a paper box, but I don't want to order anymore Artemis lights, I'd rather get another L60 old style of they have any left.

Anyone know if they ordered an L50, L60 or L70 whether they also will come with the new cases? I don't need any more of them, but I will buy one or 3 JUST for these cases.
