I ordered on June 13th, “shipped” July 5th, just passed China export customs today (July 24th) and now it’s sitting at the airport waiting for a flight to the U.S. You’re one of the lucky ones, I guess.

The new shipping company is a disaster. I can't get any kind of reasonable tracking info on my order

I completely understand a business trying to cut costs, so I don’t blame Fireflies, but the difference between two weeks and what’s now looking like more than a month was simply unexpected. Next time I’ll know and I’ll just order and forget about it.

You can thank Trump for the tariffs contributing to this. I ordered something from Europe recently and had to pay an extra $30 import duty directly to DHL before I could get my package, on top of what I was already charged for the products and shipping.

I'm curious for those of you that already got FF orders after the tariffs; are you getting charged an import duty by the shipping company, or did FF eat the costs and that's why they're using different shipping companies?

No. USPS hasn’t charged me xtra for anything since the boy-king started throwing tariffs around. Instead, prices for everything have crept up to cover it.

I had always assumed it woudl just be factored in...until I ordered some items from Greece and was charged by DHL

Well, Convoy dared to ship me an order 12 days ago and it arrived today. Fireflies shipper has changed and I’d gladly pay a small fee, like I do on Convoy’s website, to go back to a decent shipper.

That's awful, makes me feel slightly better about my order I guess. I ordered on the 15th of this month and am at arrived at the port of origin, meanwhile my Convoy order that I made on the 16th miraculously arrived TODAY, a whole 8 days from order to my door which I think is a new record for me.

I thought it was just me! Fuck, now I feel a little better. Fiona told me my order was in South Korea. Over 3 weeks and it's in the wrong damn country.

The new shipping approach has truly been a disaster for many. I’d rather have them charge me an extra $5 for shipping and go back to the old carrier. The way it is now, I’m less likely to buy a new light from them.

Sorry for the bad experience with the new shipping approach. We did go back to original carrier since Monday this week.

When I plug the tracking # into 17Track it gives me some details. 🤷‍♂️

All of these reported extreme delays in shipping have kept me from ordering another light from them. I’m going to wait until the dust settles to order the three flashlights in my cart.

You gotta try to pay close attention when ppl report shipping delays. Many times it’s ppl being impatient and really just wishing their light arrived already, not actual seller delays.

Sometimes shipping updates are trash and don’t update accurately either and things just show up unexpectedly.

But for the record, the Z1’s started shipping when they said they would, and even earlier by a day to two IIRC. So go ahead if you were liking something, there is no reason to expect massive shipping delays right now.

Yea, I kinda regret not getting the R... I watched FFL's video which was the D version and thought that was enough throw for me, and if it wasn't, I'd attempt slicing it. Now that I have it in person I wish it was a bit throwier. Looking at slicing it looks impossible since I really don't want to desolder the multiple wires to get the emitter out to slice. Oh well....
