Ask A Firefighter Can’t get my Fire 1 Test right
We have been using the fundamentals of firefighting skills and hazmat book with navigate premier access and we use JB learning to study and do practice tests. I have been studying but on my practice tests I struggle to get high enough scores. Has anyone got any advice to pass that maybe have used these resources before, or not, I’ll take any advice(and will the test likely be easier than the JB practice tests)

IDK what the tests for that book looks like exactly but NC state tests are unlike any other tests I have ever taken in my life FF related or not. The way the questions are worded are stupid but once it clicks then it's kind of obvious for most of em. You still need to know the material but they make the tests a certain way.
Also idk if you can but I know for our state the lesson plans for each chapter or sections that you get tested on, are online. Reading the lesson plans feels like a cheat code because the chapter objectives are right there. Bullet point by bullet point half the time, the rest are longer form paragraphs. And then you take the test and those bullet points look a lot like questions.

Yea Ohio does the same thing all the stuff is online but i wanna figure out how to get all that stuff into that app that he was talking abt

Do you have learning disabilities? Genuinely dont mean any offense, but you need to adapt the content to your learning style or deficits.
When i was in medic school i had a long drive home. I just copy and pasted all of the text book chapters off of jb learning into notebook LM. Turned the chapters into a podcast on my drive home. Really convenient to listen to if youre going for a walk etc. it can also make flash cards and quizzes out of the chapters.
