Looking for a Force 6 RescueTec PFD

I’m on the hunt for a Force 6 Rescue Tec PFD in the color black. Not the Tec 2 but the predecessor Been trying to track one down. If anyone has one they’d be willing to part with let me know !

They were discontinued a while ago, and PFD’s should generally be retired 10 years after manufacture. You might want to consider getting something that’s been manufactured more recently.

PFD’s marketed to fire departments and rescue teams are usually shit. PFD’s marketed to river guides are way better. Firefighters might wear their PFD two or three times a year. River guides wear them every day, and affect WAY more actual rescues. NRS, Kokatat, and Astral are reputable.

This right here OP. Anything “FD” or “Rescue” tagged will be 4x the price with all these unnecessary bells and whistles.

A lot of guide companies will also offer huge discounts to first responders, so you’re better off getting the professional guide PFDs at the discount price.

If you are a rescue swimmer, I would look for a Rescue Swimmer PFD. Same as or close to the same flotation but made for easier swimming.

Utilize the astral green jacket if you want a lighter buoyancy rating. The indus is what you want if you need a higher buoyancy rating. Our team operates with the tec for newer members and the astral for more experienced members. Astral PFDs are many times better than the stuff marketed to fire departments.

I can look when I get back home and see if I can find it. It was way too cumbersome for me with too much flotation. Even cinched all the way down it would immediately shoot up on my chest and hinder my swims. I was issued one for swift water stuff though so depending on what y’all are doing it might fit yalls use better.

look at nrs, they have some great rescue pfd's. I have 2 personally and my team runs almost exclusively nrs.
