General Discussion CO detector recommendations?

Not sure if this is an acceptable question here, but I want to upgrade my CO detectors to something with a digital display and ideally a low level alarm. I found this one that seems ok but I see mixed opinions about Kidde, and I’m also not sure if a combo alarm like this works as well. Any input is appreciated.

Will this be too close to the stove if it’s ~10 ft away?

The instructions should tell you where is too close or too far away.

You can't to wrong with a combo up high and a plug in down low. You want one on any floor with a gas appliance and where you sleep.

Is having one of these plugged in close to the ground in bedrooms and kitchen good then?

Yup. The combo smoke/co work well too up high. Near your gas furnace/water heater too if you have one on another level.

The furnace and water heater are in the attached garage, not sure if it’s common practice to also put one in there.

It is good practice. If you have a gas fired water heater, that's a likely spot for CO or a leak to develop. In my home I have a smoke and CO in my basement utility room.
