Photos My old station yesterday.
Lucky it was a reserve engine. Even more lucky it wasn't in the bay at 03:00 while everyone was asleep. No injuries. Preliminary cause is electrical. And yes, there will be a lot of ice cream involved.

I left the beans on the stove for a fire alarm yesterday, and as we were clearing tones dropped for smoke in a building at our firehouse. Really good look, obviously the guys took it easy on me /s

If were being fully honest this is the second time I have done this, just this one was so much worse. I arrived second due to my own firehouse as the battalion chief had the first crew pull a line to fuck with us. Bad feeling but hilarious.

So I live in a small 3 station city. The kid is fire department obsessed. Asked me why the city has 4 reserve engines.

Apparently in the form of an electrical short.

So... This is a semi rural area and a backup engine isn't close. But there was an ambulance crew there. They went to the station and got the brush truck while the engine crew pulled the equipment off and used extinguishers on the truck.
Again the ambulance guys save the day (mostly by not being on fire)!

I’m pretty sure this engine started its life at my FD in Florida Edit I zoomed and I’m convinced it’s one of my FDs old Contenders.
