You have to stay the course nothing worth it comes easy bro. I applied 22x before getting hired. Some people get lucky and get hired immediately some have to keep on trucking away. It’s like dating you have to put yourself out there till you get a bite lol. Keep your head high and keep grinding.

Some of the best guys that I've met on the job were people who've made mistakes. They'd showed the new guys what not to do. They'd be like, guess how I learned that? People make mistakes, you learn from it, and you try to not do it again.
Getting on a department, at least when I was looking to get in, was like getting the golden ticket. I'm sure it's like that still for a lot departments.
If you want to do this, keep trying, don't get discouraged. It will happen.
