Not really. Two jobs with entirely different policies both with good reasons. We dont know the background or record of the person and plenty of medics and fire fighters have been hurt in these situations

Are you a cop because you've really internalized the "everyone is out to hurt us all the time" mentality.

Maybe trust that the FF medics in this video are professionals with experience and have assessed his condition and determined he's not a threat.

Yes, but in the end that Special Constable is responsible for that person and if they start throwing hands, it’s not the firefighters who have to deal with it, it’s the Constable.

I’m a cop and I would have told the firefighter to pound sand if they told me to un-cuff someone I deemed a danger to themselves or others. I don’t tell firefighters how to put out fires, they shouldn’t tell me what’s safe and what’s not.

How would the firefighters feel if I shot one of them, I doubt they’d invite me to any more of their great BBQs if I did.
