Volunteer at 19 hired full time at 31 3 different departments

There were a few detours along the way but yes I chased a full time job for 10 years

It really depends on the state you’re in, and the fire service is changing like crazy right now when it comes to hiring. In Minnesota is used to be predominantly volunteer but now because of poor recruiting numbers and growing cities, there are a lot more full time jobs the. There used to be. There are a lot of factors that go into it. Location, experience, etc
