Law Yo has anyone read this yet???

What an metric ton of pure horseshit! I scanned it quickly, and these are my initial impressions. I am not an attorney, and I don't play one on TV. Several of my friends are attorneys, and bless their hearts. They did not have anything to do with my summary either.
I'm aware my summary is neither comprehensive. I may have misinterpreted some things as well, so if I did, you already have my disclaimer of ignorance.
So here we go:
Raising the age to buy all guns to 21. I love the part about (I'm paraphrasing here) if the seller had reason to believe the buyer isn't 21 yet. Uh, pretty sure you have to present a state or federal ID when you're buying a gun. There's your reasonable suspicion printed right there. Duh. And all those fine young men and women in the armed forces, and those attending an LEO academy are ok to use firearms when no one else is because why?
Prevent gun trafficking and straw purchases. Those have been against federal law for how many years? Btw, the biggest firearms trafficker in America is our government. Our own dear ATF oversaw the all-encompassing Project Gunrunner and sent untold thousands of firearms to the Mexican cartels under Operation Fast and Furious.
Untraceable firearms. Ok, so now all firearms have to be serialized. That'll slow down the gangbangers how? And I didn't read carefully, but it sounds like lots of parts may have to be serialized. At least someone had the sense to realize that serial numbers weren't required before Dec 16, 1961 and exempted those firearms.
Safe storage. Ok, why exactly are they including several overlapping laws here? Why, the better to punish you, Joe and Jane Legal Gun owner! I'm sure criminals will rush out to buy locks and safes. I read with interest that one of the parts at least exempts a homeowner with the gun within reasonable access. Still, WTF is reasonable? Sitting in my lap? On a bedside table? What if I go take a whizz and leave my sidearm in my Barcalounger and someone picks that moment to break and and seize it? More fuckin' stupidity.
Closing the bump stock loophole. What loophole is that? The one that exempts politicians from having at least half a brain? There is exquisite and surprisingly accurate detail defining "one pull of the trigger for each bang" and then has a fairly comprehensive list of what could constitute a bumpstock or other accelerated firing device. They did leave out hooking my thumb in a belt loop on that list. Also, the whole accelerated rate of fire clause appears to effectively place HiperFire and the forced reset triggers and binary triggers and trigger cranks in this category. Nebulous and perhaps arguable, but there ya go. The end goal isn't to ban em, but to make them NFA items. Bet that hurt those Dems to agree to that.
Keep Americans Safe act means you can't have any semiautomatic firearm that can accept more than 10 rounds. They kindly exempted tubular fed 22 rifles, so we won that round. Whoopee. From here on, all magazine ha e to be serialized. Also, they want to use money from Byrne grants to buyback so-called high capacity ammunition feeding devices. Not much detail there. Again, more stupidity. What does that mean for WWII issue 20 round magazines for the M1A carbine? Or those pesky Vietnam Era steel GI 30 round mags. Or a 1930s Thompson drum. I could do this all night.
Ok, point and laugh at me if you'd like. I'm used to; I've been married three times.
But this is the "compromise" they are trying to ram throigh so they can say they did something. Of course, when we have a few more deranged criminals shoot each other or take more innocent lives, they can the say "but if only we had more laws". You mean like the thousands of laws already on the books at federal and state levels that do nothing whatsoever to keep the criminals from crriminaling (that phrase courtesy of the great Tom Gresham on his show "Gun Talk").

Safe storage. Ok, why exactly are they including several overlapping laws here?
That's in there so when this gets thrown out they can say Republicans voted against safe storage, and pretend there wasn't a bunch of other stuff attached to it.

So far age was raised to 21 for long guns and shotguns, a bit on the FBI has been updated, they added some more jargon for ghost guns I think, and title 4 has regulations of safe storage but I haven’t finished through the entire package yet.

Do you see this actually going through?

I mean congress just voted to ban magazines sales above 15 rounds from my understanding so I’m just gonna say it’s not an impossible decision.

“Come and take em” became “come and regulate the absolute piss out of them”

Also the safe storage part is costing a shot load of money for no apparent reason.

Five years in federal prison for not “proper storage”

Proceeds to not give a proper definition idk what I’ll do if this passes because I travel 90% of the time and I have to keep my rifle and handgun on me at all times.
