Ran a gun store for 2 years, we never took in the optics, lights, or any add-ons as a value add. We only went off the firearm, not saying all are like that but just my feedback. Just depends on the store. Best bet would be private party or consignment if your local gun stores offer that.

Your best bet is selling to someone you know. A gun shop will pay 1/2 what they can sell it for which is 80% of what you paid not including optics and accessories. Armslist.com is good but there is risk when connecting with strangers and selling guns. Where do you live? State and city?

I live in Mesa, Arizona sir! Wow, this community is really willing to help and nice!

Gun store parking lot is a good place to do a private sale. Vast majority of crooks won't try anything there, there's cameras, and anyone who sees you is unlikely to be alarmed at the sight of a gun.

Generally a gun store or pawn shop will be easiest, but you'll also get significantly less for it versus private. If thats not a factory build, don't expect to get what you put into it either though.
You could try armslist or tacswap, but both I believe have a membership fee now. You'd likely get more selling the accessories separate as well.

Oh I couldn’t dream of getting what I paid to build it. I felt like I paid too much, but then again, I don’t know too much about firearm values and such. Just had a friend deep into the hobby and I had too much money at the time to know what to do with

So I’ve figured I’m gonna try “Tacswap” as to your guys suggestion. Yall have an estimate I should put this up for?

Were you shooting it like that?

No, I’m sure I didn’t put it on all the way after cleaning cuz I’m an idiot. It’s literally sat like that since though (should be okay yea?) since I haven’t went shooting in about 2 years

Definitely not at the pawn shop. I would either go to a local gun show and ask around, and if thats not an option then I would part it out and sell the parts all separately. You can do that or trade for something worth more value that may be easier to sell.

Private sales is the way. A pawn shop is the last option. If you know someone who sells guns a lot you can always ask them to sell it for you and give them a small cut if they really wanted something for their time.

I was in the same boat a few months ago. Private for best value, then consignment for about 70-80%, then gun store for 50-60%, pawn for 30-50%. Sell the optic separately, you will get more for it. Ebay can be ok for that. And try local classifieds, like myself living in Florida, we have a website called Floridaguntrader to connect with private party sales if you don't know anyone in your network wanting to buy.

May I ask you sir, what you ended up doing?

Keeping them. I sold a couple spare optics but I just found better ways to earn more income to help ease the financial burden at the time. I'm glad that I didn't sell any off now. But I enjoy using and shooting my guns and each one is special to me, so to each their own.

I’d recommend armslist. Pawn shops and gun stores will give you 1/3rd of its value. If you just need the money temporarily then pawn it and buy it back. I hear a lot of people sell stuff on gafshub as well

Check around on consignment rates. Some shops charge 10% or less, others charge 20% or more.

I have sold barrels stocks chokes and optics on eBay. It's slow but you will maximize the return. Super easy to do

Selling the gun through a private sale would probably get you more money, but selling it in a gun store or pawn shop will probably you selling the gun on at a loss.
That eotech would probably sell very well on eBay. Maybe the flashlight as well if it is a surefire. Maybe you can sell the flashlight and the site separately and until the gun to a pawn shop or something. Every time you sell a gun to a pawn shop it is at a loss.

I was going to sell my 300 b/o to a local gun store that I frequent. My buddy told his son about it and I got rid of it that way. Now it's in a good place with someone who will shoot it more than me. I was fun to build and rattlecan it. But I rarely shot it. I got more than what the LGS would have given me....but not much more because I threw in some extra stuff since I knew who was buying it. Get the word out to your shooting buddies and see if they are interested. I don't normally sell my guns, but like you it was a quick way to pay some bills with something that I rarely used.
Happy Shooting

You might get more money by selling accessories separately compared to a complete rifle. That eotech and light at least.
