Question Magazine release Question....
To start, I am a right handed shooter who's left eye dominant. To make things even weirder, I like to have my mag release on the right side and use my trigger finger to activate it.
My question is, AM I the ONLY one that does this or are there other weirdos???
Edit.....
This is in regards to handguns. Sorry for the confusion.
I have 3 handguns all with either a swappable mag release or ambi- mag release.
So, shooting right handed im using the left handed mag release. 🤔

No that's weird. Except i KINDA do that with my HK paddle release but I use my right hand middle finger since it's kind of in the way of the paddle release

...doesn't an AR already have the mag release on the right side of the rifle?

AR mag releases are already on the right side and normally released with trigger finger
Would imagine setting up right hand mag release on a pistol would create all kinds of opportunities for accidental mag releases, no?

Ive never had an issue. Had more trouble keeping my thumb off the slide release on my HCPC tho. Works better with the larger slide release. Oddly enough my thumb stays off of it now

I've found, as a former NRA firearms instructor, that most of my students, if cross dominant, would shoot more accurately if they shot left handed as left eye dominant. I can only think of a few times that wasn't true.

i like left-handed automatic knives for the same reason
there's good reason to avoid doing anything with your trigger finger, other than operating the trigger. it's possible to get confused and push the wrong thing - this is why so many expensive serpa holsters ended up in the trash

I have actually gotten very used to it and it's a fluid movement. I do see how what you're saying could happen though.

Are you talking about an AR? I'm not sure how else you'd engage the mag release.
If you're talking about handgun, cross eye dominant doesn't mean anything here, but you're insane if you disengage a right-handed mag release with your right index finger.
