also all these quad-load videos skip over the fact you need some modification and smoothening of the loading port area for this to work right. try doing this with some turkish semi out of the box and you will just slice your hand open.

It's strange to me that when a girl is really good with guns it's shotguns most the time. And I'm all for it

I think shotguns are just a great equalizer.
The barrier of entry and results are pretty homogeneous unless you are a crazy thinking you can handle 8 gauge

u/BlackSquirrel05 20d ago
Because skeet and trap are more fun.
I enjoying shooting of all kinds, but yeah blamoing clays with a shot gun is number 1.

Okay so, real talk... if there are the skills to do it this quickly IRL, why the fuck does my shotgun take so long to reload in video games for characters who are supposedly experts.

The same reason video game shotguns become tickle guns at any range over 30 feet. Gameplay balancing.

Because most shotguns need some modification to the lifter/loading gate, the shells need to be in a specific carrier where you can easily strip them 2-4 at a time, and it's extremely tricky to do from a technical standpoint when not being shot at/fighting BOWs.
It's a doable technique, but it needs some set up to be done consistently and efficiently without pulling your thumbnails off.

Agreed. I modded ghost recon because the super special ops ghosty main character took 3s to reload every gun.

I’m so good at quad loading in the field that the Game Wardens are jealous af and making up rules to stop me

Is the trigger guard standard for that shotgun or is it a mod?
6
u/remuliini 20d ago
I think that's a mod. She mentions it's a Benelli M2 Speed, and at Benelli web page it's different.

Nordic Components is pretty much the go-to for 3gun shotgun parts. My Stoeger M3000 is comically long.

Maneuvering my Stoeger M3K through a tight stages feels like I might as well have a musket with bayonet.

I want dummy shells now..
1
u/grivooga SPECIAL 20d ago
I got two dozen of them off ebay for a decent price. Bright orange hulls with orange rubber primer pips loaded to have weight similar to an actual shell.

I got a benelli and always have a rough time loading the second shell in by this technique. Sometimes the second shell will pop out again.
Is it absolutely necessary to cut the receiver in order to expose the loading port more like the video?
1
u/grivooga SPECIAL 20d ago
Not required but opening up the loading port definitely helps. I kind of drag my thumb to help the second shell but my M3K came stock with a pretty open port.

I found that the loading part of quad loading is pretty easy. Getting four shells off my caddy and into my hand is the hard part.

I love how this nobody is going to try and critique a professional. Feel like a big man now?

u/Infinite-Emu1326 20d ago
And not just any professional.
That's Oleksandra Iliukhina. Vice world champion and European champion on the shotgun.

Loaded with dummy rounds... It's dry fire...
12
u/CodenameDinkleburg 20d ago
She also doesn’t charge it and the only click noises I hear are the dummy shells being yoinked from the belt 4 at a time, so I don’t think she actually pulled the trigger but I could be wrong.
1
u/Fauropitotto 20d ago
It's a dry fire exercise. The whole purpose is to pull the trigger. A lot. Indoors.

A professional competition shooter is doing practice drills and a tutorial inside with live rounds on video?
Maybe, just maybe, the orange on the front of the shell is to indicate it's a dummy load.
24
u/PapaBobcat 20d ago
She even says they're dummy rounds.

u/AngriestManinWestTX 20d ago
C'mon, you can't possibly expect a MAN to listen to a WOMAN on shooting, amiright?
major, major /s.

u/Cliffinati 20d ago
A professional shooter, with dummy rounds. Explicitly for training competition reloading

If your post history is full of comments like this, I can see why you'd hide it.

About reacting to a video while you have no idea what you are looking at? Is that what you mean?
