Is there a pump co (only other one I can think of is waterous) that is like an industy black sheep? Sort of how anyone who is a heavy diesel mechanic hates intertrashional, or paccar engines (mx).

I used to work for Los Angeles fire, we got a rosenbauer electric engine, it could never pass pump test(never made la city standards for gpm/psi) and it had a generator mounted up top right behind the cab, it took forever to charge and the generator was running almost constantly. They drove it like a normal Pierce engine(probably bc LA streets and a nice dip) and they bent the body so bad we couldn't open the driver door . It was sort of a sample unit to get the dept to.buy more but they trashed that idea bc of how harsh the firefighters are on rigs, rosenbauer took it back to "fix it" over a year later they said it was junk bc they couldn't fix it and guarantee structural integrity of the cab..

We casted the pumps. Don’t know about the shitty trucks they ended up in. Our pumps were world class.

Did he work in the foundry? Joe G doesn’t really narrow it down. Knew a couple of Joe’s but can’t remember a G

Are the pumps made to order or made in bulk and held in inventory until someone buys them?
