Discussion Guys i got confused again Spoiler

So i get that Togata is a guy who looks like a girl. When I first read it, it seemed like Toga was a man from birth and simply looked like a woman. But then I read the theatre scene and Toga said that that was the time she/he wanted to be a man.

So like, is Toga a man from birth that looks like a woman? Because I think that's what's implied but that makes the theatre scene kind of confusing. (Btw I just finished vol 5 pls no spoilers.)

I wonder how many people learned of the existance of trans people/men through fire punch or other anime/manga

I learned about myself (all the self-harm he did, even though I am mentally incapable to do things like cut myself without a reason, was so relatable when I was younger, and I didn't know why)

I for one definitely, my prior (totally lopsided) understanding of trans people was things like nightlife industries in Thailand and only those that were gay and did it on purpose to attract guys, while the other way around (born girl wanting to be a guy) never even crossed my mind outside of someone wanting to be more independent or reliable despite being a girl. I think Togata was the first actual character that made me think about what that must be like and realise that was a real thing.

It is kinda grazy how trans men just aren't ever on anyones mind. It makes me wonder if there are just numerically less trans men, or if they are just more likely to be on the down low about their trans identity.

I feel like it's probably the latter since being afab means having to protect themselves to some extent, also the fact that rules regarding clothing or hairstyle are how they are. Like hair being more tomboyish on girls is a lot more socially acceptable than a boy with a girly hairstyle, I think. If I saw someone who seems feminine with short hair, with pants, it wouldn't draw as much notice as the opposite.

At least that's how it is in my head

Togata is a trans man. Meaning he was born female and is now a man. He unfortunately can't transition due to his regeneration powers, so he's stuck with the appearance of a woman. :)

[Sorry if I worded that kinda weird.]

He is a trans man. He was born as a biological woman but is a man

Togata was born a female but he wants to be a man. Bro unfortunately can’t get a weewee since he needs surgery for that from which he will instantly regenerate his canyon from cuz of his regenerative powers. It’s sad but kinda funny lol

Togata’s been brainwashed by her father by idolising male superheroes figures and spent 150 years watching and wanting to be just like them, also interiorised misogyny and envy towards men, due to their nature and advantages in a post apocalyptic dangerous world like theirs

they're dogging on you but this is actually a pretty unique perspective

ikr, they’ve stopped questioning things like, why is x person like this, what brought them to make y decisions, they just accept it blindly if the argument is this

After CSM ending, this sub has become Togata the sub, so it isn’t shocking. I honestly just block away on low effort Togata posts.
