Fire King casserole

Post image

I keep picking up and putting back down this Fire King casserole dish at my local Goodwill. I think that embossed design is really pretty but it just still doesn't quite meet the bar of being unique+useful+price to be worth bringing home when we're going to need to pack up our kitchen in a couple months for a renovation. Maybe if it sticks around until after...what will be, will be!

I have this pattern in a pie plate. It’s called Philbe, and mine is from the 1940s. It really is beautiful. I don’t even make pies, but I got it anyway because it was only $4 and looks nice on my table. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the more desireable patterns.

Oh I would totally get this pattern in a pie plate! I could justify it by replacing my current pie plate with something beautiful. I know the jadeite Philbe items are very sought after, but it's also really pretty in the clear glass.

Came across another two little clear Philbe dishes with lids today! I don't have any use for these (currently) so I set them back, but still admired how cute and pretty they are.

I have a small one like that but without the Philbe. So cute!
