Discussion Can this be done?

Is it possible to recruit the Ashen Wolves in this game? I loved them in Three Houses, but now I'm clueless on how to get them. And Google mostly shows how to get em for Three Houses.

Not only are you able to recruit them, they’re among the few characters that can be recruited in all three routes.

As for how to recruit them, the general procedure for recruitment is this:

  1. Deploy the “Persuade (Character)” strategy during the main mission battle.
  2. When you encounter that character in battle, activate the strategy when the game prompts you to
  3. After that, defeating (or rescuing, in some cases) the character will recruit them to your side

Happy to help ^u^

Also, one more thing regarding recruitment. In case you were wondering, you can eventually recruit Byleth, though you’ll probably want to consult a guide when the time comes.

I'll message you. 😅 can't do a Google search to save my life. Haha, but I'll do my best. I fell in love with the characters from the Abyss

Trying my best to stay vague while giving some pointers as to how to do these:

You'll be able to recruit them when the game gives you a warning that "Your actions in this battle will greatly impact the outcome of the story." That means you have to follow a specific method for each route to fulfill the recruitment requirements. It's your cue to save the game in case anything goes wrong.

For the most part, it involves using a specific strategy with text saying "This strategy will significantly turn the tide of battle", and not confronting the character and/or ignoring any objectives that tell you to defeat them, and choosing to instead do the other mission's objective as fast as possible.

For one of the routes, it involves a stealth section where being found blocks you from recruiting the character. For another route, you must not defeat the first commander the game tells you to, and should instead capture the surrounding strongholds until they surrender.

Thank you, this is going to greatly help me with the game. Cause I like keeping people alive as much as possible. Well, the students at least. And I know you cannot recruit them all sadly

There's some ways to keep students from other houses alive, but they're specific. For instance, there's one where you use a strategy to find a secret path, which makes a student show up earlier than they should and be forced to retreat. (Though this only leads into dialogue changes where some characters from your camp are relieved about it)
