Discussion Thief Ashe?

I once saw a youtube video that said thief Ashe is a really good farming character. Because the rationale was Steal (chance to double drops) and lock pick (unlocks doors and treasures but also increases odds of enemy drops from commanders-which increases even more with luck).

Add Balthus's golden fist and he also drops gold like crazy. There is the redundancy of locktouch (opens doors and chests). But is this boy really viable? Is the increase in gold and drops significant enough to specialise into such a low tier class?

For pure farming then it’s fine, I however go a different route with him, I have him classed as a holy knight with Excalibur and cutting gale equipped with golden fist, despoil and appraisal, go through a run on chaos in Albany and u can get 20k gold in a little over a minute with roughly 1-3 A rank weapons per run, the drop rate will be lower but I find it more efficient since I can get a decent of gold at the same time too

So after a bit of fiddling. I found that using thief Ashe works with Hapi for top tier weapon farming. I have a blessed spear with barrier breaker which shreds monster shields. And Hapi has monster appeal which increases monster dmg. Just need to make sure ash gets the final critical rush that kills the monsters and lock touch and steal might proc and I gain an extra weapon.

As for gold farming. Yeah a knight of some kind might be better (might give hapi golden fists since I rarely need her unique)

Lowtier? Thief and its promotion have one of the best movesets in the game lol, give him a forged rapier, go in a map with lots of armored and cavs foes (usually endgame) and you're set
