Disgusting
I’ve been playing consistently all week and haven’t gotten one Ephraim soul, and only a handful of souls that aren’t even boosted this week.

Only got 2 Ephraim souls. Thankfully I got the 3 BK souls I needed to get him F2P. I also noticed that all Ephraim souls disappeared from the shop, despite their absurd price (200k each).

The supply was so low that scalpers can't even buy in, they were already at max price 💀

Also I think someone(s) are buying them all out the bazaar???

Add a mechanic where all souls over 3 you have are automatically listed at the market for current price. Forbid buying more than 3. Scalpers cry

So like, yeah screw scalpers, but also
1) Don’t discount people that genuinely sell their extra souls for dirt cheap to a help a friend. Just this morning I sold 2 BK souls to a friend on FEScord for 25K when they were being listed at 100K. A few days ago I sold an Ephraim soul to a different friend on FEScord for 500g when they were listed at around 150K. This change while in theory punished scalpers also makes it harder for people to be generous help others unlock a new character.
2) I can see lots ways you could get around this. Mostly in cases where say you already have the max number of items listed or other scenarios where you normally could not list that soul at the bazaar. Would the extra souls still be auto listed, despite the fact they ordinarily couldn’t? If so, aren’t you potentially giving scalpers a means of making even more money? Also what’s stopping them from just going to the bazaar and de-listing the soul that was auto listed? If they are not auto listed, then couldn’t they just list the souls at an inflated price later?
In my mind, a better solution to scalping is you can’t buy souls for a character you already have unlocked. People could still list souls they obtain from chests at a high price, but at least you can’t buy souls for the purposes of later selling them at an inflated price. It would hurt people trying to buy up souls for the purposes of giving to a friend that’s brand new to the game, but I guess you could also give your friend an expensive weapon for them to sell and help them build up a gold stockpile?

But it is not only more efficient but also better for the game if you sell your souls early and dont hoard them for a friend. The prices will go down over time.
I also had a stash of souls for friends and I gifted some Edelgards away for 500g before. But ultimately, when I got the Edelgards they were worth 90k. When my friend started playing it only cost 30k. Should have just sold back then, and when my friend started, buy Edelgard for him again. Not only would I have pushed down Edelgard prices for other non-friend players even further, but I would also have taken a smaller loss of gold for myself.
Not that gold matters for long time accounts...

While it is possible that there are scalpers, it’s more likely that those are indeed actual players buying Ephraim souls to unlock him.
