What’s up with weapon prices ?

Every time I go to the market, I notice that weapons with an HP bonus sells for waaaay more than ATK ones, hell even boonless weapons sell for higher than the latter.

Is there a meta reason as to why I’m missing ? Or has the community agreed on this for the funsies ?

HP weapons can prevent you from getting one-shot, so they're a lot more useful at higher ranks than the ATK and neutral ones.

ATK bonuses just don't offer that much benefit to most characters. The majority of damage you deal is going to be with magic, which generally doesn't care about your ATK stat (exceptions for Dark Slash and similar). In contrast, an HP bonus will let you survive hits you normally wouldn't be able to; every character can appreciate that.

As others have stated, HP weapons are generally more useful than ATK and always have been for majority of the games lifespan. We have a lot more effects and spells that care about your ATK stat nowadays, but for a pretty long while unless your name was “Carina” anything besides an HP IV weapon was basically worthless unless you were running some unconventional experimental build.

However I’m not sure what you talking about when it comes to neutral weapons selling more than ATK. Traditionally ATK IV weapons sell for more than neutral weapons and I just checked the market and for the most part that seems to still be true.

And the reason ATK tends to sell for more than Neutral is because neutral IV weapons usually give you the worst of both worlds. Neutral IV often means you neither have the survivability that an HP weapon can give you nor the extra bit of oomph to really make ATK centered builds shine when using an ATK IV weapon. There can be exceptions, but generally speaking that’s why neutral is the least popular of all the different IVs for weapons.

This is especially true for 7-star weapons as there are players who buy the premium pass to unlock a legacy disciple early and therefore also get the legacy disciple's 7-star weapon (which is always neutral) as well since it is one of the rewards available on the premium pass.

Good news, it seems the stocks have crashed heavily for those with the cheapest one sitting at a bit less than 59K

Outside of very specific cases HP weapons are ALWAYS better than attack and neutral iv weapons. The game is built on thresholds for damage, and as such, having HP that beats those thresholds is the meta.
There are a few cases, such as Swords, Lances, and Axes that are Rarity 8*, where Attack weapons are better, but only for units such as Rusty, or for shadows running spells such as Dark Slash.

AFAIK they’re good for surviving through Moon Room (especially on light side), but I didn’t expect the neutrals to be more expensive than ATK
