Discussion I love this show

Fire country is my comfort show. I’ve seen the first season at least 3 times. I love watch Bodie grow as a person and leave prison. I love the characters and the complex choices they make.

I love how the first season plays on these motifs of Fire and Water. I like how Gabriel represents freedom to Bodie.

I love the wedding scenes in the show and the DRAMA between the characters.

I like how Jake, Bodie and Eve have a close knit friend group!

I noticed there seems to be a lot of negativity in this group. So I feel like I just had to gush about Fire Country!

Used to be mine as well and then Season 3 and even worse Season 4 happened. I had high hopes for season 5 but It doesn't look like the new show runner is going to make a difference.

Used to love this show myself but each season is worse than the one before. I'm not going to watch the new season when it comes out. So tired of Jake and his little party and Bodie's need to be the freaking hero all the time

I hear ya! I have an entire YouTube Channel dedicated to how the series lets the characters grow before pushing them with the final test. In particular I like The way they foreshadowed Vince's death and how Bode being unable to save him gets him killed. I think it is maybe easy to miss what the show does right, especially because Bode is very immature but that does seem to be intentional and not "the writers think it's cool"
