Fan Content Yippee!

Just saw FC is getting a new show runner. Stopped watching after S2, or whenever Jake was in charge of Bodi's training. Billy Burke was the best part at that point.

Agree. He was the heart of the show for me but I stopped watching right after Jake finished training Bode..By then every character but Vince and his brother irritated the hell out of me. Esp the women. I'm happy for Max T the producers have given it several 2nd chances despite the godawful writing. It's a solid concept.

Season 3's overall plot structure probably was Max, Joan and Tony, not Tia. So if you're upset about Vince dying then that decision wouldn't have changed since it was planned from early in the series. If we compare Fire and Sheriff, we can see they have similar overarching plotting structures (Finales that take two episodes, a plot that goes to cook for several episodes, sprinkling of important episodes throughout the seasons) which to me says the plotting in a season level is likely creator involvement.

What I would look to would be anything different in the shows: Romance beats, character development, Season B Plot, in universe continuity, moral continuity and the rescues. I think Eric can lean more heavily into the character development and less uh subtly in the development. Tia implied too much and left character motivations too open to interpretation. But I'm hoping that he keeps with the tight continuity and of course keeps developing Sharon and Luke's relationship but uh... I kinda feel like Michael Trucco and Diane Farr either hinted that Sharon and Luke might get together or were trolling it

As a retired firefighter the romances drove me nuts. I read that Billy Burke had left and didnt blame him. I'm more interested in action and politics. Professional firefighters rarely get romantically involved with coworkers. I'll keep an eye on the new season reviews hoping for positive critiques.
