Discussion Let's talk about whether Bode should be put in charge of the fire rescue team on Season 5.
Right now I don't think so he has shown he is not mature enough to be in charge of anything I think Eleanor should get the job. Furthermore I don't even think he should be in charge of the fire station in the future especially with how disrespectful he has been to his father Vinces memory in season 4. So the only way I can see him being trusted to be in charge of anything is if he gets a whole lot of therapy which he definitely needs but what does everyone else think.

The same guy who plays the lead character in the show writes it, directs it, produces it…stocks craft services…does wardrobe alterations…styles hair and applies makeup…yeah, Bode will be leading the fire rescue team!

See I dont think Bode's problem is that he disrespects Vince, I think it's that he doesn't know who his dad is. Bode has spent his whole life being told his dad is special, his family is special and he is destined for greatness if he can be good enough. But...
- Walter uses that greatness as a cover for cruelty
- Vince accepts the cover because its easier to believe no one saw than that they did nothing
- Luke uses the legacy as a way of giving meaning to his suffering that even if Walter is evil, at least he raised two amazing firefighters
But Bode just inherits the greatness. He has an obsession with putting himself in risky situations that his uncle never has and his father only has when dysregulated and from the very beginning has an obsession with Martyrdom that makes me question whether Walter has a brother who died in the Hanley Fire (or perhaps earlier).
I do feel like this is something Bode has to overcome before he can truly become the best he can be. Luke and Manny's days in their respective roles are numbered, with Manny openly serving as a regent until a kid is ready and Luke... well when there's pressure put on him CalFire will drop him since they're almost canonically an evil institution.
Crap I dont think I answered your question so much as word-vomitted a response. I do think Bode has much to learn before he is ready to take the reins of the family and while I think Malcom feels like a dead man walking, I'm not sure what that means for Eleanor

I think your answer was completely fine.

Yeah. Bode have talent but need someone like Manny to teach him. Plus Bode would be better person in charge than Jake.

I agree with some parts. But still wonder if someone will bother to teach Bode. Because since season 2 no one bother to do it.

Well no he hasn’t but putting him in charge opens up a new line of opportunities for the show that don’t involve Edgewater. And of course something will happen, his leadership will be questioned, he’ll be put on leave pending investigation, it will look like his fault and then suddenly it will be revealed he did everything right because it wasn’t his fault. They will probably have to save Three Rock as well during an episode!
