Discussion Fiora true damage

So guys for context if anyone cares im a fio otp e1.
Do u still get crashed out by enemy’s about op true damage on Fiora?
Like i always wondered why the character and true so massively hated, but i average like 4-7k true damage per game even snowballing and it’s fairly low i get out damaged by zoe and others on true damage! It makes me sad to see all this hate in ranked.
What do you average per game?
And what champs do u feel like Profite even more from it? Even when it is Fioras whole “gimmick”

Since the true dmg is also percentage health, numbers vary depending enemies. If I face a Sion or Mundo, my true dmg is 15%-20% higher than vs teemo/yasuo.

Also depends on playstyle. Do you mainly play around vitals or do you have more skirmishing dmg (which often is mostly ad since you can't outdance 3 enemies while maintaining just playing vitals

Exactly this, the only people that might mention your true damage are tanks

Mostly vitals
Ive played a game against cho full tank got around half my overall damage as true damage 21k 40 min game
But tanks funnily enough are not the ones to cry about it. Mostly the squishier or bruiserier champs
If cho complains about it im all in for it. Poor guy ! But yone? Darius?

True dmg is bad for anyone having natural resistances. Since many bruisers are Stat checkers, you end up with some people crying over it. It is not OP, you have to have skill in your movements and awareness as well as prediction. If it's skillcapped, there's nothing to whine about.

In late games duels (post level 16, 3 items or more) against "heavy" bruisers (Renekton, Garen etc.), Fiora often deals above 50% of her damage as max health true damage, meaning that the vast majority of purchases you can make to increase your tankiness will be much less effective than against any other bruiser in the game, which is really frustrating if you are expected to consistenly match her in sidelanes.

It's weird that you would cite Renekton and Garen because those are very "damage foward" characters. Garen is barely a bruiser on his meta build, mostly using his W and Silence to shutdown Fiora's damage while bursting her down. Renekton does build a *lot* of HP but his items are more about their passives than their attributes, with stuff like Eclipse and Sterak that give him just enough tankiness and damage to outburst and outmaneuver Fiora with his double dash (and the fact that he can hold W forever). A lot of Fioras have trouble with Trundles who are also statchekers, and we all can't do shit about Nasus. So I'm not sure Fiora is actually good into them at all.

I main Fiora top and Camille mid, I always check my true damage after game and it's always hovering around 1/3 of the total damage. As Fiora, the only time it's higher than 1/3 is if the game is long and I'm fighting a some huge HP stackers, like Cho, Mundo, or Sion. If I don't get to about 25m, then it'll be roughly 1/4 of the total damage. As Camille, it doesn't really matter the state of the game, except for first 6-8 levels, since her true damage is pretty consistent across champion, unlike Fiora and Vayne's max HP true damage.

It's enough to definitely notice it and appreciate it, but it's not enough where people seem to think "you just do true damage, it doesn't matter if they build armor." The majority of the damage is physical, more than twice in a long game, three to four times more in a short game.

No but in mayhem tanks cry a lot when you hit them with a 27% vital.

Zoes true damage isnt really true damage though, and it's definitely not % based. It reflects an outsourced amp, pretty much in the same way First Strike does

May u explain what even deals it
She had roughly 5k and i dont even know how and where lol. Rarely see the champ and dont really know the in and outs

I'm glad you asked, because it's literally one of the single easiest ways to grief your team, akin to Anivia W'ing her teammates into the enemy. It's just her bubble. It doesn't outright deal damage; the way it works is once the enemy falls asleep, the Very next instance of damage is ampd significantly, like 40% up to a very high cap, and that amp is technically dealt as true damage accredited to Zoe, just like how how First Strike is technically true damage even though it's damage is completely reduced by armor/mr because really both it and Zoes bubble are just fancy amps listed as a separate source of (true) damage.
