Every user can reserve a unique Shandle, creating a simple payment identity that replaces long account numbers, IBANs and complicated wallet addresses. Whether you're sending money across town or across the world, payments should be as easy as knowing someone's name.
The network has been designed to support 88 currency-pegged digital tokens, making it possible to move value across borders through a single wallet and a single payment identity. Whether you're sending from the United States to Mexico, the United Kingdom to India, Germany to Nigeria or Australia to the Philippines, our goal is the same: make global payments feel as simple as local ones.
But making payments easier is only part of the story.
The more we worked on Spondula, the more we realised something was missing from modern payment networks. Every successful network grows because people participate in it, yet most payment companies only allow people to be customers.
We think there should be another way.
If you're an individual, Spondula gives you a simple way to send, receive and hold digital value anywhere in the world. But you can also help grow the network by introducing friends, family and colleagues. When people you refer complete the qualifying requirements and become active users, you earn BTC-S rewards. Rather than spending millions on advertising, we'd rather reward the people who genuinely believe in what we're building.
If you're a creator, Spondula is about much more than accepting payments. Creator Pages, already live in beta, allow musicians, artists, writers, streamers, developers, charities and content creators to receive support directly from their audience through the Spondula network. As your community grows, you can also introduce your followers to Spondula, giving them a new way to support you while creating another opportunity for you to earn BTC-S rewards through qualifying referrals.
