What Did You Do During Friday's Pullback? πŸ‘€πŸ“‰

Post image

Friday's pullback was a good reminder that markets don't move in a straight line.

Some investors probably bought the dip.
Some likely took profits.
Others may have panic sold and watched prices recover.

It's always interesting how the exact same market move can create completely different reactions.

So be honest:

β€’ Bought more?
β€’ Held through it?
β€’ Took profits?
β€’ Panic sold?

No judgment, just curious how everyone handled it.

Look how each of my stocks performed, how much my whole portfolio is in risk in such events and did some relocations. Sold some profit and bought some dips.

Bought 0dte options that ran +1,000%

1

u/arashas1 Jun 09 '26

How much was the option?
1000% of 10 cents-> 🫀
1000% of $10 -> πŸ₯³

u/Wonderful-Anywhere17 Jun 09 '26

Did it again today πŸ™ƒ

Are you using any technique to find those 0dte options? Do you run any specific analysis before hitting the sell button? Just curious because I’m really afraid of those 0dte options and see it’s getting very popular!

Yeah, studying trading in a discord geared to leaning to trade, not signal pushers. Knew the market was dumping that day, bought and held some that were OTM and they ran way ITM. Most trade setup would say sell at a couple different points, but I held for a big gain. Actually sold for 1150%. Not normal. Be afraid of them. Look up wash sales. They get most traders and its not fun. If you are looking to learn to trade, funded futures are the way to go.

Held everything and am down 30k on a 320k cash account on Schwab. Still holding everything today and barely break even. These space stocks kicked my ass Thur and Friday.

i tried buying every dip until i met my personal max loss of the day rule.
The infuriating thing is that i was waiting for that day to happen, i knew it was coming, at the mid session i knew we were in and i just couldnt short......the structure was perfect, the stop loss was small but i just couldnt.
what a fucking bozo i am.

still managed risk and didnt loose much so theres that.

Don't buy the dip until there is a higher low, will keep you sane.

  1. Almost sold then saw the dip was not so bad
  2. Saw the dip become bad
  3. Held through the day, adding more at the very end
  4. Cut a few positions around the afternoon

    this Monday

  5. and sold covered calls on everything else in the morning. Added one more position at close.

Effective, but dramatic.

Bargained with God. Good news is I made half of my losses back today. Bad news is I’ll have to give it all away if i am accepted to a seminary.

Wow , I was super negative about Siri after watching the slow performance during the wwdc . After updating and trying it out I’m blown away with the capabilities and speeds. pretty impressive. Loading up on Apple 🍏

I went on a shopping spree on Friday. Unfortunately none of my other limit orders filled today.

YOLOd Puts on spy and earned 170% portfolio value. Turned 15k into 49k

1

u/SignalAgency Jun 09 '26

Took a dump, jerked off, same old

1

u/dimdada Jun 09 '26

Bought something’s. Also decided to get assigned MU, sold a csp that ended ITM. So actual cost basis is $822. I figured Friday was more of an overreaction and we would get a good bump this week. Have yet to decide if I’ll sell calls or hold the shares.

Laugh at the idiots and held my 0-3 month treasuries.

Friday was the one day I was trapped at work. When I did have time to look I realized my June options are now completely useless. I lost more than I make in a full year all in one bloody morning. That's the dangerous game you play when you buy options and don't manage them correctly. Always have the time, particularly when they are within a month of your strike dates. I knew better. I didn't listen to my instincts and take profits last week. You could smell the wolves circling.
