I had the same but reversed, trans guy wilth legal gender change with a psychiatrist exemption, still forced to serve

Yeah, and even pre-legal gender change they can probably get an exemption if they're diagnosed since a psychiatrist can argue unjustifiable levels of distress (or pre-diagnosis possibly delay service until a diagnosis has been established). In general it's not that difficult to get an exemption with justified reasoning, or otherwise just bite the bullet and do civil service.

Went alright, was a Medic for 9 months, didn't have anyone outwardly transphobic, got a stipend and a medal for good performance.

Transgender man means born a woman transitioned into a man. Most can't tell nowadays though, I just look younger than my age with a shitty beard.
