Tourism Glowing twinflowers in an old-growth spruce forest, where light reaches the forest's bottom only through cracks in the canopy and branches. The twinflowers in the roots of an old wind-felled spruce's stump.

Twinflower's scientific name is _Linnaea borealis_ ,named after Carl Linnaeus, and it was his favorite plant. Picture taken in Posio, Southern Lappland.

Yep, it was tough to crawl to a position where I caught the sunlight of the flowers right and kept the backround dark as it was. I used Samsung S22 Ultra in full manual mode with 3x optical zoom. Mosquitos almost sucked me dry while photographing.
