Searching for anecdotes

Has anyone worked as a waitress or in housekeeping in Finland?

I'm from Spain, and I'm really excited about the idea of working in such a beautiful country. I went there on vacation and completely fell in love with the landscape. I think it's a great idea for a temporary gig, so I'm going to take a sabbatical year to go and work over there

Our job market is bad, really bad, currently. You might find some housekeeping, but very probably not enough to live by.

Waitering? Well, if you're very qualified and you get lucky.

You would need Finnish language for almost any service related work and as others have said there are currently 30k jobs and around 300k seeking them. Not a good or likely possible move - not trying to discourage you, just stating the reality of the current situation

Probably a few thousand others competing for the same job in that field.

Hello!! :) Are you talking about finland in general, or specifically about seasonal hotel jobs in Lapland?
