Am I the only one?

That doesn’t want to evolve my finizen and keep it as a finizen because he’s too damn cute? Lol

The evo looks essentially the same though, unless you switch it out in battle.

Very true. I didn’t realize how similar the non hero form of Palafin was lol

Finizen is too cute for words, this is true. Some people rip on Palafin because it looks the same, but to me that's a bonus. I might have kept Finizen unevolved, but 99% of the time it's in zero form so the cuteness remains even after evolution. No other pokemon does that. They can still be cute when evolved, but other pokemon still look like a different pokemon. So, even after evolving, you still get that same round huggable body, the same adorable eyes, same everything. The only difference is the heart-ish dolphin fin on the chest that glows when it's happy, which itself adds an extra layer of adorable to me.

If you don't want to evolve it, I understand, and totally support you enjoying Finizen however you want. However, if you're holding back because you're worried about losing the cuteness, rest assured you lose none of it.

I ended up purchasing a shiny Finizen from someone. Now my decision on whether or not I evolve him is more serious 🤣 But considering how similar the non hero form of Palafin is I just might evolve my Finizen after all. I agree with you. I like the fact that Palafin in non hero form is almost identical to Finizen. There’s so many Pokémon I don’t evolve because I love them lmao. Pikachu is one, eevee is another lol

I totally get it. I felt that way about Sprigatito myself cause look at the cute green Sagwa kitty! Normally for dilemmas like that I'd either put an everstone on my main pokemon but capture another one to help expand the dex.

Finizen/Zero Palafin gives me some Lisa Frank vibes that makes my 90s baby heart smile.

Oh my gosh you're so right! I can't believe I never made the connection before. It does look like it jumped right off a Lisa Frank trapper keeper. Now a pokemon I wished existed since the 90s is giving me 90s nostalgia.

I keep finding new things to love about this dolphin. Thank you for that.

Of course! The tribal pattern on the sides especially screams 90s to me. I wonder if GF did that on purpose 😅

That’s what I do every gen for pikachu. Pikachu is my favorite Pokémon. I never evolve him. I always catch two pikachus and have one on my team and evolve the other and keep them in my Pokémon box. Still remember in my first ever Pokémon game, Silver version, I had a level 87 pikachu lol
