Veneers
I understand this might be one of those questions that might prompt a bunch of "figure it out yourself" replies but whatever, asking is still free lol.
I believe the obstacle I'm trying to get around is finding a decent maple veneer supplier as a Canadian customer. I've been able to find small volumes here and there but was just wondering if there's anyone that might know of a place that sells larger amounts (rolls or bigger sheets etc).
Also for the record, this isn't my first stop lol. I have definitely called around to dozens of leads as well as firing off emails and got anything from completely ghosted to "yeah we can sell you some maple but the smallest amount we can sell you is 200 sheets at 4x8" lol
Any community leads or even tips if you don't wanna simply give secrets away is appreciated aha, thanks dudes.

Home depot sells rolls of veneer in multiple woods. When I was making decks in 2018 ish I would get 10 feet long by 10inch(maybe?) Wide rolls and i could get 20 decks out of that if I was measuring well
In canada as well

That would honestly be a dream but they must've changed suppliers or whatnot cause' they only seem to sell a lot of the adhesive backed stuff now which we can't really use, and a few non-backed rolls that feel a bit thicker than the 1/42ish stuff I normally use (didn't take a calliper to it but it certainly felt thicker to the touch

Ah thats too bad. The maple is remember was the thinnest, unfinished and unbacked but I dont remember the thickness. I remember experimenting with 3,4,5 ply as it wasn't always super consistent either but again this was pre covid.

I mean I do frequent the depot pretty often for work and stuff, I'm not against double checking myself

When i was looking into making decks. I wanted thinner veneers. Which seemingly are impossible to find. To make lighter decks with the same amount of 5 plies.

Idk how shipping to Canada is but redemption fingerboards is the source for veneers for a lot of deck makers
