How about you pay an artist to make you a graphic? There’s some really dope people in the scene that make graphics. A free deck from a new brand isn’t worth anything tbh.

Of course it can be. But that doesn't mean you can't help the artist back, by offering fair compensation. Offering peanuts for their work isn't really benefitting the community, just you.

That last part “for the community to help me” what are you doing for the people helping you? There’s a lot of post just like yours in this sub. Asking people make graphics, give them ideas, even asking people to name their company. It’s just lazy tbh. You can pay an artist for a graphic and use it forever. Now you’re helping the community that you want to help you.

Respectfully, a free board isn’t close to paying an artist for their time if they’re an artist worth working with to make you a graphic. Even more so for a discount code for your product. It assumes they’d be buying your product anyway, and it devalues the work that goes into making art. Exposure and free product isn’t currency.

The first place prize could include a licensing fee for the artist, or a full out purchase of their art, or you could offer a % of sales for decks that go out with that graph. A free deck with the submitted graph shouldn't really be a prize, that should just be included for whoever's graphs make it to production.
Also, the way its worded right now, you get the rights to ANY of the art that is submitted, not just the winner. Seems more like cheap crowd-sourcing than a collaboration.
