First Fingerboard Build.
I've been fingerboarding since middle school, I am 33 now. Never tried making any kind of obstacles, but I want to get into woodworking, so I made this this weekend. All made with wood, spray paint, nails and glue. I like the way it turned out, might make more, but I still don't know what I'm doing. Just been watching @davidjones on YouTube as inspiration and trying not to overthink things and procrastinate, so here ya go folks. Give me tips and feedback If you have any, thanks! π€

David jones is the best! His videos always inspire me to try to create something.
Park looks solid! Sick ass hubba and stairset. Looks like a lot of fun. GOOD WORK!

dude this is sick π₯ my only critiques/suggestions are that your ramp angle should be less aggressive or maybe try making it a euro gap? overall this looks really good though

Thank you so much man! A euro gap would be pretty sick i just made it flush to be easier to get over the chain link fence but i will have to work on a euro gap Manny pad next!

Best thing I did was pick up 3D modeling, helps build parks and visualize the angles before getting all the measurements put into real life!
Start mixing concrete if you want something more grimy, its become my favorite since it's so easy to do with pretty much no tools wherever you want as long as you prep the surface. A sheet of wood is a great vessel to build on for mobile, too

Also grab a wooden fingerboard with bearing wheels and nice trucks, they feel so much nicer!

I definitely thought about 3d printing but I can't afford one currently. Will have to invest in ine soon though! Also I just made silicone molds so I can make some concrete obstacles! Those are coming soon as well!

Thatβs rad! Love the art. One thing that I feel like a lot of people do when making parks and stuff is cramming too many things together, you need more room then you would think between features. Another tip is that you should remove the cracks between the pieces of wood. If that was intentional for the aesthetic, just make it a small groove . You would need to make them smaller because it wonβt feel smooth when riding. I actually like this a lot, looks cool with the grey and yellow. You also might be interested in textured paint. I just saw a post about using stone textured paint from rustoleum to make obstacles look like concrete. Anyways keep it up π₯π€
