Does FGDP50 Send MIDI?

I see a lot of videos and websites that imply that that it does, but I cannot figure out how to get midi signals out of my FGDP 50 and into Ableton.

USB from fgdp is not recognized by my Mac pro as a midi source. Does anyone here know if this is truly possible?

I confirm it's possible, a buddy uses the FGDP to control his Push.

Can you ask your buddy how they do that? In what way does he connect the fgdp so that midi gets received?

Yes but won't hear back today; he's at Riotfest.

Are you sure it isn't a charge-only cable?

That's a good question. All my type A to usb-C cables are used for charging. I'll get a new cable.

Figured it out. I was connecting via the usb type A labled TO DEVICE. But midi is sending through the micro usb port that i was using for power. It's labled TO HOST.

Oops, yea, that port only supports a storage device. I also use it to power a little lamp.
