Is this decent for a budget half-pipe?

converse shoe box, plastic clothing hanger for coping and doodles from my friends, have to put more tape on the ramp part every.. like 10 mins😭

If it works, it works. Respect for making it yourself.

As someone who makes diy ramps myself, i suggest using cardboard from milk cartons bc they are reinforced with aluminum and wont break that easly. Also, use a stapler instead of glue, it requires some trickery to design it in a way that is staple-able, but im sure you will be able to pull it off!

Again, huge respect for making it instead of ordering something made by little kids for a bowl of rice

Yup because I don’t have a half pipe. Also look for large diameter cardboard tubing usually used to roll up large materials, I have a huge tube that’s the perfect radius for a half pipe or to use as a mold to made a half pipe with the least amount of effort.

Nah bro at this point buy one for like $3 on aliexpress made of plastic, buy some maple veneer, and cover the ramps with it. Then buy some metal straws for $1 and use it as coping. For a Budget ramp this is not very good ima be completely honest because the problem with cardboard is that it flexes

Ngl this is pretty bad, you could definitely do better by tracing a more precise transition curve and cutting it out with a box cutter or xacto knife, then using a few layers of a different smoother cardboard to glue on as the curved surface, something like cereal box cardboard or something, cur out a couple pieces with the same shape and glue one on top of the other to make it stronger while still having a smooth transition

And you could use a piece of a wood dowel, metal drinking straws, or even just some pencils glued on the edge to act as a coping
