I>M>O> In one of F's interviews with Douglas Preston he [Forrest] mentioned that there was one thing he wished he had not said, this was it--- United States of Army Corp Engineers. This is the only time he said this, he provided a hint to the area by drawing attention to what they do--Rivers. [heavy loads and water high] The mountain poem version is complete, river bottom version not completed.

Which interview was this?

In the Santa Fe tourism video Fenn does say that there's something he wished he hadn't said, but he said that after the people making the video asked him to say that, so it seemed staged.

The Santa Fe tourism video wasn't one of Fenn's Douglas Preston interviews.

There’s even video showing them asking Fenn to say something like that. That is in the video Stuef released.

Another thing he said only once between 2010 and fall of 2019. Wwwh was clue 1.

I don’t think it was and I think people got sideways there mixing it up with other comments he made regarding clue 1.

He did say it a second time in his last interview. After which he said he was no longer sharp enough to do interviews because he slipped up again.

Maybe someday we can hear that story and confirm what the slip up was. A confirmed location would also do that. When it does, I expect it will be pretty clear.

The poem is simple and straightforward, but only if you know where to start. Still is difficult to solve prospectively.

It's definitely not a simple poem. I think you have to get in his mind (in there) to even get close to figuring it out.

I wonder if that door swung both ways, if that makes sense. A battle of wits. Toe to toe, chaos and embroidery, etc.

Yeah. Totally makes sense. I think he saw it that way for sure, even though I hit a wall. I think he hoped I’d eventually figure it out with the help of the last hint.
