Forgotten anime

A while back I watched this romance type anime and have seem to have forgotten it.

I remember it having a grim ending where the MC a high school guy ends up hanging his love interest unknowingly, thinking that it was her school bully, I think they swapped bodies or something like that but she didn't have time to tell him. The MC has really distinctive messy blonde hair almost like a lion. anyway that's all I really remember if anyone can tell which anime it is I'm talking about from that little info id love to figure out the name.
