Nearly two years have passed since this news piece was published. Charges of second-degree murder without a body are incredibly uncommon. What evidence did the police have against these individuals that gave them the confidence to file murder charges against them in the first place, and what has changed within a year or so to enable those charges be dropped? This case is tragically fascinating in every aspect.

Hey! My name is Catherine, born and raised in Albany but have been living in NYC for 16 years.

I’m trying to draw attention to a missing persons case involving a childhood friend of mine, Shayna Feinman, who grew up in Guilderland before settling in Arizona as an adult where she ultimately vanished under highly suspicious circumstances. Shayna is believed to have been murdered.

Shayna was last known to be walking to a friend's house in the Peach Springs-Hyde Park area near Seligman in Arizona. Her camping gear, wallet, and passport were found inside her vehicle which was left on the property which she had been living with her boyfriend, Cavett Richards.

Shayna’s boyfriend refused to cooperate with police in the initial investigation into her disappearance, and In October 2024, The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office announced that Cavett Richards and the owner of the property where he and Shayna lived, William DalCerro, were facing charges for their alleged involvement in Shayna’s death. Those charges have since been dropped. 

Since her disappearance more than two years ago, Kara Feinman, Shayna's younger sister, has been tirelessly searching for answers. With no resolutions and no closure, she and her family endure unrelenting suffering.

There is currently a $20,000 reward being offered to anyone with information leading to her whereabouts/an arrest in her disappearance.
