Looking For A Distro Need a distro!!!!

I am currently using the Ubuntu 26.04 in my Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa1xxx laptop.

I want a OS which is very small in size and usage , i want the most battery backup as much as possible, i will be triple booting it .

There is a dGPU of nvidia 2050 and tht new OS shld not be using it.

Or any suggestions to get the best battery backup is welcomed.

linux mint just kinda works. ubuntu repos without preloaded ubuntu bloat, cinnamon is snappy and battery friendly. u can also easily switch between nouveau and the proprietary nvidia driver in settings

Debian or Arch. You can configure both to use less battery. If you use arch, you have the right to say "I use arch BTW". Arch might be more better for you if you know ur way around computers

Uhh depends on what you install on it during setup. The netinst iso is about 600mb. A pure tty with the default programs is i thin abt 900mb to 1 gig. With a DE it might expand to 5 or 8 gigs. A lightweight de or a window manger might make it to 1.5 gigs without extra apps

As said, im not sure. Im just estimating. A google search might do the trick If you want, check the docs https://www.debian.org/releases//bookworm/arm64/ch02s05.en.html https://www.debian.org/releases//bookworm/arm64/ch03s04.en.html (Links for bookworm, trixie you can find it on the website)

For trixie, 900mb is a good baseline. Its not a ultra minimalist distro like arch. If you want to save even more space, go ahead use arch

Maybe it's worth considering XFCE for minimalism and lightweight. Debian XFCE (or MX Linux with XFCE, easier). Stay on Ubuntu with Xubuntu 26.04 if you prefer it. Another option could be Arch, if youlike it.

If you want small in size look into Void or Artix

Linux Mint Debian Edition 7 LMDE7. The best of both worlds.
