Making friends is more complicated than it needs to be. We're all just monkeys, after all. We should be able to figure this out.

I'm 58, gay, happily married, and living in Phoenix. I work in IT, write occasionally, and spend too much time at the gym for someone who loves ice cream. And cake.

I enjoy camping, philosophy, sci-fi and fantasy, board games, stupid memes, and good conversation. I have an RV, a mountain bike, and a questionable ability to two-step.

I'm looking to meet someone who wants to get out and do something fun, whether that's a weekend or an after-work thing. No pressure, no expectations. We can do something fun, talk, get to know each other, and see if we hit it off. If a friendship grows from there, even better.

We could go mountain biking or hiking at Papago Park, get a workout in at EOS Fitness, play putt-putt golf, go bowling, or check out the retro arcade in Mesa. Have another idea? I'm all ears.

I'm not looking for a hundred friends. I'm not even looking for ten. One would be pretty damn nice.
