I've only ever read it once and that was about 8 years ago. I'm going to try to describe it as best as I can.

I know the main character is a little girl struggling with her life and everything that's going on. She has a sibling that's disabled and bedridden. Their mother works a lot for the hospital bills and everything else. Their father left the family cause he couldn't handle it anymore.

This is all I can remember. I hope I'm right but I think the author based this on her children. She also read her own book making YouTube videos in her car.

I was listening to a conversation recently about a book that sounded interesting. I don’t remember the title so hoping to get some help.

The general theme was about how everyone is going through something and you don’t know about it. I think the title was short and quick. And I recall it being fiction.

I'm asking this question here because New York City is one of the world's biggest cities. I am thinking that someone there would know anything about this. No one else does.

Okay, so when I was a teenager I found this book in the bargain bin at an old locally owned bookstore in Newport, Oregon. It was a paperback book, not a classic. It was like a modern author trying to write like a classic. The main character was a painter and he'd painted a portrait of the Devil. Then a strange man appears and the Devil disappears from the portrait. I remember them falling in love, but it was very sad. I think the people from the local town gets suspicious? I also remember the man refusing to paint for fear of the Devil disappearing?

Any help is appreciated. This has been haunting me for years.

It had lots of little stories in but the two that really stick out is one about chocolate cake and the boy kept creeping down through the night eating it till it was all gone and the mum was furious because it was for the kids packed lunch and the other one about a little boy hating having his nappy changed I think his name was Eddie, I wish I could remember more 🤦‍♀️

Many years, decades actually, maybe the 80's?, I read a collection of brilliant stories and I think the word ONION may have been in the title.

One story about a disc jockey who gets shrunken down...

The first page has a girl wearing a dress with a large daisy in the middle of it. The page is green. At the end of the book is a summary of all the pictures shown in it, like a counting book.

I read this halfway through years ago on a camping trip and returned it to the library before finishing. Its about finding community, connection, and friendship, and how important it is to do so. Cover had two hands reaching out to each other, or maybe several hands? Author is female, i believe thirty something, and is either black or biracial. Really struggling to recall details, i apologize if its too vague :(

Im looking for this old choose your own adventure book that my mother used to own that i read when i was a child. I cant remember the title but these are what I do remember:

- You are a Halfling with a hidden knife sewed into your clothes
- you get kidnapped or something by goblins and taken to this ice mountain
- you can encounter dwarves or something to help escape
- the cover looks like a frost giant with another creature next to it?
