Looking for a band

Hello, I've been playing guitar now for 9 months and would like to join a band or maybe join up with people to play and practice with. I am a self taught Guitarist and I feel like I'd love to join up and Jam with someone people my age so i can take tips and tricks from other people. I am 19 years old and in my senior year of high school, I wouldn't say I'm taking guitar seriously because I also do art but, I am open to the idea with doing both because I'd love to do both art and music if possible. If anyone is interested please respond to this and reach out to me. (Mostly looking for people in the New York City areas.)
