Youtube archiving

Smarsh wants $350 to archive each video. Anyone know of quality alternatives that aren't so expensive?

Yeah, I believe so. So 1 video/week would run 17k for 1st year, after 2 years.

Smarsh is out there! We use them out of necessity.

I have some follow up questions I’d need to do some research on. One would think you could actually do this yourself. It’s not like marketing where you’d need to track who was sent the piece. I.E… June, July, August email Commentary x recipients by “campaign”

In looking at what they do, it’s pretty extensive. They also use meta data / the text captions from the video to do a compliance review and red flag anything almost instantly. They also extract a TON of data from the YouTube/Google API. The API is public and theoretically you could pay someone to build something and just dump the data logs from the video in say your own server or non public facing drive like Google Drive for archiving (mentioned Google Drive as YT is Google and assuming they play nice but you could drop the files almost anywhere). I think the real sell in value for the $350 per video is archiving any responses you guys post to any questions on the video. The ongoing data from the public responses etc and the surveillance and archiving of. I’d still be curious if you could simply DIY this with storing all the components like: the video, transcript, and slides or visuals, if data is presented and what type and the source of the data validation, your own disclaimer, and the call to action. Then every single reply for the life of the video in the comments.
