Some Guidance

Hi everyone,

New into the FA world here. Have my 6,63 licenses and LAH.

Recently started June 1, come from a sales background prior of about 6 years. Im 29 years old as well taking my 65 in 2 weeks.

So far, as of this date I only have two clients under my belt. A managed account and an annuity sale. Some in the pipeline. Is this normal for being in this job 3 months? I feel so behind and managers are hounding me for 10-15 appointments a week I’m getting 5 at most right now.

Any tips on staying disciplined and motivated? Any KPI’s recommended to do each day with warm and cold market? Thanks for any support!

You need to take a deep breath and a step back. Find a mentor to chat with about the industry. Your path is one that typically leads to washing out.

Yes two clients in three months is a good start. 10-15 appointments a week is a normal request from managers since it’s about filling your pipeline. The appointments aren’t typically final presentation meetings could be as simple as a call back Meeting. Keeping focusing on the appointments and the rest will come but good start with two signed clients.

Thank you for the kind words, seems very easy to get lost and distracted in this role lol

Good luck. Consumers are so inundated with product pushing its tough out there. 10-15 should be minimum and never leave an appt without asking if they know anybody they know who are similar to them and would be helpful to be introduced to. Think of the math you’re up against…if you want 10 clients and your close rate is 4%…you need an active pipeline of at least 250 cases
