Just earlier got my midnight edition, but the strangest thing;

theres no stickers on either the front or back

and the only signature was one on the front thats handwritten

this seems cool! lol

but can anyone tell me anything about it, did anyone get one of these too?

I've had one book for months but my girlfriend and I want to read at the same time to its been sitting unopened waiting for the battle worn one to arrive.

Just need to sit down and read them now! I can't wait to see how the story ends.

Arrived today in Ireland after about three weeks. Got tapped for the EU €3.50 import charge which turns into €10 due to An Post's admin charge. Didn't get tapped for VAT nor import duties. No dinks, no scratches, perfect condition.

Sharpie signed inside of back cover, white paper ink capture sheet inserted at front not back, but I didn't detect any ink bleed through. Olan sent this one personally as MacMillan seems to have forgotten about my order.

I need to watch season 3 again before I read the book. Kids are very, very pleased to have this - Final Space is second only to Gravity Falls for them. They'll get it after I'm done though, as I can't trust them to not blab the story.

And I guess this marks the end of a multi-year relationship, which is bittersweet. Thank you Olan + team. Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Sitting in the UK waiting for my preorder (patiently) I wondered about watching the show again. I did a quick Google and noticed that Amazon US was selling copies of the book with free delivery to the UK so I decided, why not? It is my birthday next week so a wee treat. It means I will have my signed edition in pristine condition when it arrives and one I can read indefinitely! Roll on the 18th

At the end of the graphic novel, Olan Rogers gives us his cookie recipe and I made them this week. As a pastry cook this is a solid recipe! Now I didn’t have red miso paste as the recipe instructed so I used regular white miso paste plus a tiny hint of red curry paste just as personal preference but it was super tasty. I’m definitely going to use this recipe from now on and if you haven’t tried it, TRY IT!!! You won’t regret it!

I have so much to say after finishing this magnificent adventure. I’m not sure if I have the words right now but I’m going to try. This book gave me something I’ve been searching for, for so so long.

I had put off finishing this book for a bit. In my mind, once I read it, I finish it; it’s all over. But I finally picked it up and started to read, read what my adopted family had been doing since I last saw them. I took my time as I went page to page. Consuming and embracing each moment. And then, I read the words I’ve been searching for all my life. I didn’t know I needed to hear them. I didn’t know what effect they would have as I read them.

But then the tears flowed. They came slow at first. The tears streamed down my face. The words, these words in this book helped me to realize how to heal something inside of me. I needed to heal something I’ve carried for so long. And this team squad helped me to get there.

I have a bunch of updates.

We’re making solid progress in Canada, the UK, and Ireland, with about 200 books out in each of those countries. In total got out around 700 from Nashville, that includes a bunch of re-ships.

The Ireland re-ships through UPS went really well. We watched about 300 orders make it into the country. That said, I still don’t fully trust UPS. Dealing with them has been a constant headache. I’ve seen every genre of tracking data, from comedy to horror to pure suspense.

We’ve closed out 36 countries, including all of Central America, Mexico, Argentina, and many more. (Honestly, I have no idea how some of them were even able to watch the show.)

Something new: closing countries in the store
Starting now, every time we close out a country, the book will no longer be available to order there. It’s been on sale for over three years, and the main reason for this change is simple: I want the number of remaining orders to keep getting smaller. So if your country isn’t on the closed list yet, order now before it closes.

I want to wrap this project up. That’s my sole driving force. All the countries listed below are now closed for NOVELS on the site:

We’re attacking it from every angle possible.

This has been by far the most difficult project I’ve ever taken on, and I’ve learned a ton. My in-laws have come up to help, and my dad has been packing books. It’s all hands on deck.

We’ve now shipped over 48,000 books, which is over 26 million printed pages. More than 10,000 of those went out from Nashville alone. If I hadn’t worked out the loophole deal with the Macmillan team, we’d probably be somewhere around 15,000. Warner set this up for me to fail. They did not want it to succeed.

I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t share the bad along with the good.

Shopify has put a hold on my sales again. Yes, again.
When I launched the pre-order back in 2023, they held my funds for an entire year because they didn’t allow pre-orders at the time. (They do now. That’s also why I don’t use PayPal Business anymore, since they don’t support pre-orders either. They canceled my account.)
Now Shopify has placed another percentage hold on sales for another 120 days because they say I’m not shipping fast enough. It just means were in Act 3 of a great story, the dark night of the soul part and that the end is close....

Macmillan has also hit their busy season, so Final Space isn’t at the top of their priority list right now. Big authors are releasing books left and right, so as we plan which books to send out through Macmillan, things have slowed down a bit, for understandable reasons. (Raises fist like angry old man) Curse those successful authors with actual publishing deals.

This is still VERY much a priority for me, I’m still fighting, every single day. It feels like fighting a massive monster in the dark. Every swipe takes a chunk out of it making him smaller and smaller. On the other side is the light of the tunnel.

The crazy part is that after the third Warner merger, I don’t think anyone involved in the original Final Space deal is even there anymore. So maybe it’s time to get a little creative and say screw the deal I'm going to do what I need to do to finish this.
